Thanksgiving

It’s a time to celebrate the joys of cooking, and eating, all of our favorite dishes.  Time-honored traditions that have been passed down through generations are lovingly observed.

There’s no doubt in any of our minds that by and large we use far too much refined sugar in our recipes.  Especially those we make for special occasions, such as Thanksgiving.  Pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, ham glazes, preserves, sangria….all delectable delights but loaded with sugar and calories as well.

Many women ask me how they can reduce or eliminate the sugar in their diets, whether it’s for health reasons, such as Type II Diabetes, or for weight loss, or simply for general wellness.  Accomplishing this can take a bit of doing, and for Holiday meals – it can be an even bigger challenge.

So, can we actually make Holiday foods without sugar that taste great?  You bet we can!

To help solve this problem, I have added a newsletter to my family of publications called, “Living Sugar-Free”.  It’s a weekly email that includes recipes, tips and suggestions for those who want to take sugar out of their diet.

In my case, Type II Diabetes runs in my family, so not only am I trained in fitness and nutrition, but I have a personal reason for limiting my sugar intake.  I’ll be sharing my information with my readers in  “Living  Sugar-Free”.

This week, the newsletter theme is Thanksgiving.  Sent out a week in advance, this gives everyone time to gather ingredients and make plans for the best, and healthiest, Thanksgiving feast ever!

A link to my newsletter is below.  There you will also see a “sign up” button, if  you’d like to receive this newsletter yourself.

I am interested in cutting back calories to lose 35lbs. I’m already using sugar substitutes at home and when I’m out I get diet sodas. The recipes here look delicious!
Will you be posting more here?
