Repechage Hydra Dew Moisturizing Day Cream
I try new products on a regular basis, and some of them make bold claims that they don’t live up to. You’ve probably tried a few of them as well, so you understand what I mean. This is one of the reasons why I’m happy to tell you about a product line I just started to use, and am planning to keep using!
The Product:
Repechage Hydra Dew Moisturizing Day Cream
The formula states it’s for Normal to Dry Skin and the product definitely makes good on that claim. The consistency is smooth and it makes your skin feel moist and hydrated with just the right amount of emollients. My own skin tends to be combination and this formula performed well on all areas of my face.
The weight of the cream is very comfortable, and it absorbs in quickly. It’s wonderful whether you’re wearing makeup or not and does make my foundation look natural and healthy – like I’ve been out in the sun without getting the damage. That’s important to those of us who need to use a moisturizer beneath our liquid makeup and it’s one of the first tests I give a new product. All ratings combined – Hydra Dew got an A+
Repechage uses seaweed extract as the main ingredient, (Marine Moisture Factor) and adds oils of sunflower, sesame, almond, Jasminum Officinale, Rosa Centifolia to name some of them. Hylaluronic Acid (which I love to see in skin care products), waterlily, willowherb and the amino acid proline add to the nourishment Hydra Dew provides to the skin.
Additionally, there is a gentle firming benefit from seaweed based products, as well a mild detoxifying capability that means using this product daily will continue to provide you with better and better results.
Cost: $39/2 oz. – modestly priced for this level of quality.
The Company
Since 1980, founder Lydia Sarfati, together with her husband David, and in more recent years, her daughter Shiri, have been committed to making products that pass strict quality tests and give women the tools to make their skin healthier and more beautiful. All research and manufacturing is done at their family owned facility, located in Secaucus, NJ.
Repechage carries a full range of products for facial skincare and body treatments, including those used in many spas. Their at-home product lines are formulated to complement the spa services, giving customers the best possible results from their professional facial and body treatments.
The seaweed Repechage uses in its products is harvested from the coast of Brittany, France, and makes the company slogan, “Beauty From The Sea” something we can take literally when we purchase their products. This is a product I have to try! I love marine-based ingredients in all my bodycare products and so far I haven’t found a seaweed type moisturizer for my face that’s given me great results. I like the company’s site. It’s very professional!
This sounds wonderful! I know that when I go in the ocean my skin feels so fresh and clean afterward. I had not heard of Repechage before. They sound like a good company so I think I’ll give their products a try.
I’ve never heard of this company, but I went to their site and they just sound so knowledgeable! I believe life started in the oceans so anything we get from the sea has to be good for us. I want to find a spa that uses their products and get a facial. I LOVE the idea of using similar products at home so that you get the benefits. It really makes sense.
Thanks, Nancy!
Repechage products are really that good! I have been using them for about 3 years and I love my skin!
I have a question about using seaweed products. I’m allergic to shellfish and would like to know if there is any possibility that I won’t be able to use seaweed creams/facials. I’m 24, and have been allergic like this most of my life. I’ve only eaten shrimp once and blew up like a balloon. I don’t have any skin problems but I love the idea of the way Repechage approaches skin care.
Should I avoid seaweed then?
This sounds very good. The price is reasonable and the company puts a lot of emphasis on quality. I like that. Sold here!
Hi Candace,
This sounds like a medical question. Your doctor would be the most qualified to answer this for you. One caution I would advise to you is not to use any product that you’re unsure about. Wait until you’ve talked it over with your dr.
I love Repechage products! My skin feels great and I rarely ever have breakouts.
Hydra Dew is a favorite of mine too. I have dry skin and this really takes care of it.
My friends gave me a skin care basket for Valentine’s Day and Hydra Dew was one of the things they had in it! I’ve been using it for three days and love the way it feels. You’re right about it looking great under makeup. It took away that winter dry look I’ve been getting since I was 12!
Just went to the Repechage to order Hydra Dew and it’s SOLD OUT! This must be a great product! FYI there’s the option to get an email when it’s back in stock, so I’ll know when I can order it.
I really love the Repechage product line. I am a believer that we get the best products based on ocean life and this company shares that. My skin looks great no matter what the weather.
