BellaOnline Is Helping Haiti!
Many people are feeling the financial crunch in these uncertain economic times. Even large corporations have cut back on spending, and that includes charitable donations as well. There just isn’t as much available money these days.
In the aftermath of the earthquake that devastated the island of Haiti, people around the globe are looking for ways to donate everything from cash, to food, clothing, and other necessary items to help the Haitian people. But, still many of us don’t know how we can manage to donate to others when we are not as financially secure as we used to be. Thanks to the creativity of the minds at BellaOnline, there is a way for most anyone to be able to give something to those who are in such dire circumstances.
The method is a simple one. First, do what you can do. Be that sewing, craft-making, or even writing. Take what you’ve made, from clothing to pottery to an ebook, and put it up for sale online. You can then donate the proceeds from selling that item to help the people of Haiti.
Can’t make anything? That’s all right as well. There may be things you have at home that you don’t need anymore that could raise (much needed) money through an online sale. You’ll be helping others and getting your home organized at the same time. It’s a win-win situation!
BellaOnline has made it easy for you to learn how to put your items for sale or auction online as well. They give you a ton of information in a discussion forum where you can ask specific questions and get answers from those in the know.

Nancy, I am so glad to see this article! Just today a group of us were talking after church about how we’d like to raise money to send to Haiti. Someone suggested selling items online, but none of us have any experience. I clicked on the link to the forum, and there is indeed a ton of information there.
Anyone can post a question there, just do a simple registration and sign in, and the people at BellaOnline will come forward with answers. These people are experienced, and know what they’re talking about. I am so very grateful for this!
What an excellent idea! So many talk about doing something and the nice people at BellaOnline are showing us how to put words into action. I have sold things on ebay in the past, but honestly had not thought about selling to raise $$ for Haiti. This is something I can do easily, and I’m going to take this same idea and use it for other charities – or when we just need a bit of help financially!
When you go to the BellaOnline site there are banners everywhere for the help they are offering. Don’t be deceived by their generosity, ladies. That site could be making a truckload of money for themselves advertising products. Instead, they’re using that space to do good for the world. It’s refreshing to see that kind of selflessness.
Wow, Christie. I went there and thought the same thing. It’s not just a little Betty Crocker- knockoff site. BellaOnline could be big business if they chose to go that route.
Selling household items you can’t use is such a fantastic idea. Everyone benefits. I will be posting items on ebay this week. It’s good to know that if I run into problems that there’s someone out there willing to answer my questions. If anyone from BellaOnline reads this – thank you very much!
My family is from the Dominican Republic and I can tell you it’s really another world there. I can’t imagine what is it must be like in Haiti now. I’m doing what I can. I don’t have anything to sell, but I have sent some money. They do need every dollar they can get.
I will definitely be doing this. Before I read this article I hadn’t thought about it, but my sister and I used to sell lots of things on ebay. I’m sure we can find some things in good condition that we don’t use anymore. In fact one of them is a blender I got for Christmas that I don’t need at all. that one should get a few $$.
