I think that Katie Couric should enter this year. She’s become so much more glam in middle-age and she seems like she’s got the body for it.

Someone hunky like Brad Pitt. I love him and I think he’d do great. He’s a very graceful man and from what we all saw in Troy he’d be WOW without a shirt on!

Here’s what I think they should do: Have a drawing among moms around the country or target a specific area. The winner of that drawing goes on DWTS as a honorary celeb. I think it’d really make the show a hit and women everywhere would be rooting for the lucky lady who got picked!

It has to be Valerie Bertinelli. I have been a fan since One Day At A Time and think she would be perfect. She’s a success story too. When she was on Touched By An Angel she was 50 lbs heavier and appeared older than her years. Now, she’s fit and youthful and looks amazingly happy. It’s really inspiring.

Hillary Duff. She’s just so cute and perky. She’d be great!

    I love Bonnies2cents’s idea!

I think that someone really unlikely like Kevin McHale from The Soup would be a good idea. He’s got a sense of humor and he’d be fun to watch.

Queen Latifah. She’s beautiful, has the poise, and she’d be great up there on stage.

Leslie Ann Down. She’s gorgeous and has an incredible shape. She looks like a winner to me!

Bill Clinton. Politics aside, he’s good looking and I think he’d be a good dancer if he gave it a shot.

I think Robert Downey Jr. would be a good choice. I’m sure he could handle the dancing and he has such a nice personality. He’s had his issues in the past no doubt but I think he’s on the right track these days.

Samuel L. Jackson. He’s got so much style and he’s a very talented man. He’d be great. Maybe even a winner.

Hector Elizondo. Handsome, smooth, and would be hard to beat I think!

Good question! My pick is Kirstie Alley. She’s been through so much and she is still a very beautiful woman. If she did well it be just what she needs to boost her morale. The last time I saw he on TV she sounded depressed because she’d gained so much weight.

I’d have to say Harry Connick Jr. He’s got a lot of style about him and he’s in the music business so he knows something about rhythm.

My favorite singer of all time, Reba McEntire!!!! GO REBA!

  17. Gina on February 3, 2010 at 5:38 PM

Anne Hathaway. She’s so pretty and has that great smile. I think she’d wow the judges like crazy!

  18. Tullecha Kay on February 3, 2010 at 5:52 PM

They should get Brad Pitt in there! That’d get all the women watching every week! He’s got it goin on!

  19. Tullecha Kay on February 3, 2010 at 5:52 PM

LOL Just realized Brad’s already been nonimated! Well, I’m still hoping!

I mean this very honestly and without any kind of bias. I’d like to see NANCY WELKER on Dancing With The Stars! Think about it! She loves dance, she’s gorgeous, she represents moms, and women from every place on earth – who better to get out there and strut her stuff!

It would be a victory actually, Nancy. You’re a celebrity in your own right. You help people. There’s nothing more important!

  21. Nancy Welker on February 8, 2010 at 12:29 PM

Wow, FirstPlace, thank you! All I can say is that if they call me – I’ll be there!

I’d like to see tryouts for the last spot. People can come up from the audience and take a little lesson, see who does the best, and that’s the one who gets in. We need at least one “average person” competing. It shouldn’t be all about the celebrities. We’re all stars in some way aren’t we?

Vanna White would be a good choice. My mother says she remembers her from the 70s and the woman looks amazing! She’s in good shape so she’ll probably do well.
